Dan Black to play Bowery Ballroom 9/9

Dan Black is coming back to New York!

He’s set to play a one-off headline show at the Bowery Ballroom on 9/9 during fashion week, having recently finished a Lolla set and support slots for the Robyn/Kelis and Dragonette tours.

There isn’t much more to add to this, except that he makes amazing pop music and puts on a great live show so you should go to the Bowery Ballroom and see him. Check out the Paper Trail review of his Mercury Lounge show back in February or this video of ‘Symphonies’ from it for further proof of his live skills.

Tickets are on sale now, and in the mean time check out his spiffy video for new single ‘Alone’ below. It was directed by Chic & Artistic (the French duo who does all his promo stuff) and features  an array of effects including face morphing, that cassette tape image and Black doing a dance with a giant spider that seems to have pipe cleaner legs.
